The most commonly used drugs used to treat herpes infections are acyclovir, famciclovir, and valacyclovir. Acyclovir is one of the most commonly prescribed drugs in the United States. Valtrex is the brand name for the brand-name drug acyclovir. Famciclovir is used to treat genital herpes, and is a combination of the two drugs. It is available in generic form and is sold as a brand-name drug. Valacyclovir is another drug that is used to treat genital herpes.
The drugs are administered in the body’s immune system, which is why they are used to treat genital herpes. Acyclovir, the brand-name drug, is the most commonly used drug in the United States. It works by reducing the activity of the virus. Acyclovir, the brand-name drug, is taken by mouth at a dosage of 2 grams to 5 grams every 4 to 6 hours for 5 days of treatment. The typical dose is 5 grams to 10 grams every 4 to 6 hours for 5 days of treatment.
The usual dosage for Acyclovir is 10 grams to 20 grams every 8 to 12 hours for 5 to 7 days of treatment. Acyclovir is taken once every 4 to 6 hours. Acyclovir is taken with food.
You can take Acyclovir in both oral and injection form. Acyclovir is usually taken 1 to 3 times a day. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed dose.
